A cartoon illustration of Yannis and Aggelos high-fiving Two people, occasionally one brain

We build a lot of projects. That was the whole problem.

Patch exists because the two of us kept forgetting our own work. Here's who we are, and why that turned into this.

Product designer

Yannis

Design, frontend, and an unreasonable number of open Cursor tabs

Obsesses over pixels, prompts, and whether a button should be 10px or 12px rounded. Has strong opinions about all three. Will die on this hill.

Backend developer

Aggelos

Databases, backend, and the sacred duty of saying no

Guards the schema like it owes him money. If something touches Supabase, it goes through him first. This is a rule, not a suggestion.

Friends first. Team second. Slightly disorganized, always.

We've been friends for years, and somewhere along the way we also became two people who like building things together. That's the good part. The problem is we build a lot of things, individually and together: redesigns, internal tools, weekend experiments, an embarrassing number of side quests that never got named properly.

Every one of them lived in a different pile of tools. A few months later, neither of us could explain why we'd made half the calls we made, or how we'd even gotten from the first idea to the shipped thing. We'd just built it, and then immediately forgot everything interesting about how.

So Patch exists because we got tired of interrogating our own past selves. Now we just write it down as we go, and let it turn into something we can actually look back on, together or separately. Turns out that was the whole point.

Who does what, roughly

Yannis handles Design, the frontend, the copy on this very page, and every opinion about spacing that Aggelos has learned to nod along to.
Aggelos handles The backend, the database, and the very important job of telling Yannis "no" when a design idea would require touching Supabase.
